Although we very often practice yoga in a group, it is a journey into ourselves, a journey to learn about ourselves and our own unique expression of spirit in the world. When we learn who we are and what makes our souls light up, we then recognize that light is not only in us, it is in all beings and by going inward we find connection to all others allowing us to live life fully.

In this home retreat, you are invited to create a place of calm and quiet within your home, roll out your mat and explore more deeply the idea of your yoga practice helping you connect with your purpose in life.

Yoga offers many, many different forms of practice – asana, mudra, mantra, meditation, yoga nidra (some of the most common) – within those there are infinite ways of doing those practices. We will explore together various practices and look to identify ways that you can use your practice to help align with your purpose and connect to your bright light.

During the retreat experience you will have the chance to learn about yourself, to go within, and to connect with others on this same journey and receive support along the way.



The retreat will be led by three advanced teachers of therapeutic yoga, who have all experienced what it feels like to connect to purpose through the practice of yoga. During our time together Kathy, Sandra and Jaime will share teachings, guide experiential practices, and lead you in reflections to help you find, maintain and honor connection to your unique purpose.

The Schedule

Please note all times are in EST & all sessions will be offered live-stream through Zoom and will be recorded and posted shortly after completion.

Recordings will be available for 2 weeks following the retreat.

Session 1: Restoring Connection

Saturday, June 5, 9:00 – 11:00 am

Session 2: Self-study in Practice

Saturday, June 5, 2:00 – 4:00 pm

Session 3: Cultivating Intention

Sunday June 6, 9:00 – 11:00 am

Session 4: Aligning Practice, Intention & Purpose

Our time together will include exploration of slow mindful movement, restorative yoga, active asana practices, mudra, contemplation, journaling, yoga nidra, and connection. Morning practices will be more physically active and afternoon practices will be more restful in nature.

PREPARING FOR YOUR RETREAT

Create a space within your home where you can limit distractions. If possible reduce any clutter or things that might draw your mind away from the moment.

You might wish to have a candle, a flower, a plant or something that in some way helps you create a special setting for yourself.

Things to have during practice: journal, pen/pencil, yoga mat, blankets, yoga blocks, strap, a pillow or bolster, and a light eye covering (scarf or washcloth).

Limit any additional commitments or errands during the retreat time, allowing for some space for you in between sessions.

Be mindful to not eat or drink too much within the hour or two before sessions.
